![]() I am going to follow up on this and see if there is any solution. With the Iomgea device plugged in an powered up, Go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc, Right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. I was told that if you are using windows XP (no one supports this version anymore), the drivers will work but not for windows 8. I have a problem with my iOmega Ego external Hard Drive. I was told to call back tomorrow to speak with a software specialist to find out if any of these products are still supported. Just spoke with one of their technical support people and drivers for zip 100 do not exist and are not available even though this company and others still sell these products BE WARNED. I tried to track down the Iomega publisher and after many 'see these guys', I found that sells and supports these products now. There are quite a few sites out there saying the drivers exist but when I tried to download them, they were only third party applications that ask for registration and just look at your hard drive to see missing drivers then ask for a charge to find them. ![]() I understand one solution is to put the hard drive from the IOMEGA 160GB device into an external HD enclosure. IOMEGA does not have a driver since my external hard drive is no longer currently marketed. I spent some time reading forums regarding usb drivers for Iomega zip storage. Windows 7 does not recognize the external hard drive. This version features an updated Active Disk engine and various Windows XP fixes. Has anyone tried using an Iomega Zip or Jazz disk with W7 I work in graphics and ocassionally have to pull info from one of these formats. This is a general and don't know if it applies to all of the products by Iomega. View 1 Replies View Related Iomega Zip Or Jazz Drive Jul 17, 2009.
